This piece was inspired by my daughter Page’s wedding. Her wedding took place at Chambers Park in Tacoma. It has these big concrete sculpturey structures. The skies went from grey to blue, rain to sunshine. The ceremony was so touching and sweet. I used metal strips to suggest the angles of the concrete and touches of burgundy and pale sage paint to reflect the flowers in her hair.
This was painted to “The Sunshine” by Manchester Orchestra.
This piece is acrylic and texture on panel and is 60″ x 48″ x 1-1/2″. Abstract Expressionism by Southern Oregon artist Cammy Davis.
